Having found how remarkably effective massage and complementary therapies where in the management of his own stress levels and aches and pains while managing a light engineering company in very trying times in 1997 decided to study Massage and Stress management techniques himself. What you might say was a life changing decision exchanging mechanical engineering for body mechanics.

Chris completed his first qualifications in massage in 1998 and has continued to build on those foundations completing further qualifications in Sports Massage Therapy, Indian Head Massage,

Stress Management, Reflexology, First Aid and is still continuing to study to advance his skills and continue his professional development. He has studied with the National Training Academy Bournemouth, Holistic Training Centre Southampton, Bournemouth and Poole College, presently with Sports Performance Services Cardiff and Allied Health Care Services. His qualifications are with ITEC and MICHT and is a member of the Federation of Holistic Therapists.

He has now worked full time in health care for 5 years with his forms of massage and specialist support work for people with physical and learning disabilities. Chris works closely with other health care professionals including Physiotherapists, Chiropractors, Osteopaths and Doctors and has busy clinics at Neal’s Yard Remedies Salisbury, East Street Practice Warminster and at his home in Poole. He has taken part in studies conducted by the University of Southampton to compare the effectiveness of massage with other forms of treatments in the management and rehabilitation of back pain sufferers. Chris is now combining his massage and experience with disabled people to bring the benefits of massage to a group of people with special physical, mental and health care needs which is having noticeable positive effects to there daily lives and hopes to expand this area of his work.

Chris’s life experience combined with his back ground knowledge and practical application of massage enable him to give you practical helpful advice to help maintain you health. Chris recognises that massage is not suitable for all conditions and symptoms or during stages of your life. In the event he is unable to help you he may need to recommend a more appropriate health care practitioner or your Doctor who may need to give approval before you receive massage.
